This installation was exhibited at the Socrates Sculpture Park as part of the EAF16: Emerging Artist Fellowship.
Condition of Exile presents an icon of composite building emerging from a twisting trunk-like tower. The rising motion of the structure and building looming overhead suggest the aspirations of recent luxury housing developments and their simultaneous detachment from the larger community. various surfaces of the faceted sculpture depict abstracted, organic patterns derived from the park in an uneasy yet harmonious blend with luxury facade systems.
